How does escrow work?
Your full payment goes into escrow, held securely by Jobara. Call-out fee and materials cost are released to the Pro right away so they can show up and buy supplies. Labor stays held until you approve the work, or releases automatically 24 hours after job completion.
What happens if there's a dispute?
Raise a dispute before payment releases. Our team reviews proof photos and scope, then makes a fair ruling. Escrowed money doesn't move until it's resolved.
What fees do Pros pay?
A small platform fee on completed jobs. Pros set their own rates. Every estimate is fully itemized. No hidden charges.
How does KYC verification work?
You start at Tier 0 and unlock higher tiers by submitting documents like a national ID or BVN. Higher tiers allow larger transaction limits and signal greater trust to clients.
Which cities will Jobara launch in?
Lagos first. We're expanding to other Nigerian cities based on demand. Tell us your city on the waitlist and we'll prioritise accordingly.
Is Jobara free to download?
Yes. Free to download, free to create an account. Clients browse and post at no charge. Pros set up profiles for free. Fees only apply on completed jobs.
Do I need to share my phone number with a Pro?
No. Everything happens inside Jobara: chat, negotiate, pay, even call each other. Your personal information stays private.
Can I book recurring services?
Yes. Set up recurring appointments for regular services like cleaning or gardening. The escrow and payment flow works the same for each session.
